ADAS ONE CEO (Dr. Tae-Geun Kim), a developer of Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), will participate in CES 2018, the world’s largest IT appliance exhibition in Las Vegas from January 9 to 12, to launch the world’s first autonomous emergency brake (AEB) system designed for aftermarket.

In order to control road accidents prevention, the United States Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has recently announced that the mandated installation of AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking) in all cars sold to the US will be enforced from 2022.

ADAS ONE’s AEB system is based on Deep Learning AI technology and the system works autonomously to prevent car accidents. The AEB system initiates the brake via the actuator which is connected to the actual brake in order to adjust the vehicle’s speed and or stop the car. The system is triggered If the distance between the preceding vehicle and the radar sensor is smaller than the preset value, and if the driver does not respond to imminent collision risk.

The particularity of ADAS ONE’s AEB system is that it is specifically designed for vehicles that are already in use which makes it the world’s first aftermarket AEB. Based on the potential customers’ impressions at CES, it is expected that ADAS ONE’s AEB will be in high demand.

In November, ADAS ONE has also signed MOUs agreement with IceField; a German first tier dealer and investor in the AEB market. ADAS ONE also committed to supply ADAS products and AEB systems to Europe in the first half of 2018.
